OUR STORY

Rooted Home Woodworks didn't begin as a business, it began as a passion.

My woodworking journey started in the 1990s, building custom speaker boxes for car stereo systems. What began as a hobby quickly became something I genuinely enjoyed. While working full-time as a Heavy Equipment Operator, I spent my evenings and weekends building furniture, tackling home improvement projects, and expanding my workshop one tool at a time.

As my wife and I raised our three daughters, I became the person family, friends, and neighbors called whenever something needed built, repaired, or brought back to life. Every project taught me something new, and every completed piece reinforced my appreciation for quality craftsmanship.

Over the years, that small hobby grew into something much bigger. Eventually, I made the decision to step away from my full-time career and pursue what had become a lifelong passion by creating Rooted Home Woodworks.

Today, every project is handcrafted in my Ohio workshop with the same care and attention I'd expect in my own home. Whether I'm building outdoor furniture, home décor, kitchen products, or creating a one-of-a-kind custom piece, my goal is always the same: build something that is functional, beautiful, and made to last.

But this is only the beginning.

The long-term vision for Rooted Home Woodworks reaches beyond handcrafted furniture. I'm developing a line of family build kits designed to help parents, grandparents, and children build something together. My hope is that these projects become more than woodworking—they become opportunities to learn new skills, spend meaningful time together, and create something everyone can be proud of.

Thank you for supporting a small family business and allowing me to be part of your home.

I look forward to building something for yours.
